The "Spirit of America" Train
It takes all of us to make sure that our service members are taken care of with the excellence and honor due their sacrifice.
(10/28/08) - The "Spirit of America" train is a limited edition electric train designed by George Smith, owner of Dapol Model Railways. One-hundred trains werep roduced, and now there are 78 left.
All proceeds go to the AHOF C-5 (Comprehensive Combat Casualty Care Complex) FAMILY CENTER at the Navy Medical Center, San Diego, CA. This Center is for all combat wounded who fought in Iraq or Afghanistan, and their families. All donations are tax deductable. As AHOF is a volunteer organization, donations will go directly to this purpose.
The trains are kind gifts by Mr. Smith to those who donate a suggested $150 or more.
